Our policies are as follows :
*Quarantine Time - Animals taken into our custody require time to adjust. This also allows us to update any vetting they may need. We have adopted the following time frames for our animals.
Owner surrenders 7-10 days.
Shelter pulls 14 days.
Animals become available once their quarantine period is over, unless they need more time.
Puppies/kittens are not available to go to adoption until they are at least 12 weeks of age and have done their quarantine time.
*Spay/Neuter - Because over population is a serious issue, we want to ensure all our dogs and cats are spayed/neutered before going into their new homes. All of our dogs and cats are spayed /neutered before going to adoption. No Exceptions.
*Adoptions - We require an application to be filled out, online or in store. A vet check/reference, a landlord check (if you rent), and a home visit are performed. We do our best to match each rescue animal with the best fit home that will fulfill their personal needs. We follow up with adopters via phone or email to make sure the match is good and the new family member is adjusting well. Adopters are also welcome to call the number given to them at the time of their contract signing if any issues arise.
